Users Group for Laser Interference Biometry (ULIB) on the Web at:
http://ocusoft.de/ulib/
The Users Group for Laser Interference Biometry is devoted to the technology
behind precision axial length measurements by partial coherence interferometry.
Since inception, the ULIB has continuously grown, with a mailing
list presently serving 54 colleagues from 16 different countries.
You are invited to add your name to this list at any time. This mailing
list, as well as the ULIB website, was originated by Dr. Wolfgang Haigis
of the University of Würzburg, who continues to oversee its many helpful
features.
During the past few years, Dr. Haigis has collected, calculated and/or
refined IOL constants of 22 different types of intraocular lenses. Together
with additional results for 5 lenses which were supplied by members of the
group, this data is published on the optical biometry lens
constants of the ULIB website.
The ULIB is interested in obtaining as much data as possible and you are
encouraged to participate. The best way to submit data is through and Excel
spreadsheet, available from this download area.
Your participation will substantially benefit the ULIB database and improve
the accumulated statistics for the calculated lens constants.
In the near future, the ULIB web site will include an area from which you
can download IOL constants onto a disk. The disk can then be inserted
into optical biometers such as the LENSTAR® or IOLMaster® to automatically update IOL constants.
