How we began:

East Valley Ophthalmology was originally built as a referral practice, welcoming the most difficult and challenging cases that other physicians were hesitant to care for because of likely complications. The sheer volume of complex and unusual cases that we've seen, combined with more routine conditions, has built East Valley Ophthalmology's special expertise. As a result, this practice has become the center of choice for patients with difficult eye problems, including rare eye conditions that are seen here in large volume, plus patients who desire quality routine eye care.

Our reputation:

Since 1985, the medical staff at East Valley Ophthalmology has examined hundreds of thousands of patients for eye exams and eye surgery, between 14,000 - 16,000 patient visits each year. We see patients from all parts of Arizona and from every state in the US, plus many international patients who are willing to travel any distance for the care and expertise that we offer.

Our surgeons are recognized as some of the most experienced eye surgeons in the US, leading the field in the mathematics for intraocular power calculations, cataract surgery, and premium lens implants, with internationally acclaimed reputations as innovators, lecturers and educators.

East Valley Ophthalmology consistently participates in FDA clinical research and investigation of promising new technologies, in many cases making them available to our patients years before they are released to the general public. Patricia Lowrance is the Practice Administrator of East Valley Ophthalmology. Patricia received her Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from Warren National University.  She is a Certified Professional Coder, Certified Compliance Officer and a Certified Ophthalmic Executive.

She is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators, American Academy of Professional Coders, and the Arizona Medical Group Management Association.
